Minister of Labor and Bengali counterpart discuss mutual cooperationof labor affairs between two countries


Minister of Labor Nayef Isteitieh met at his office on Sunday with the Bengali Minister for Expatriates’ Care and Abroad Employment Imran Ahmad and discussed mutual cooperation between countries.

Attended by the Bengali Ambassador to Jordan Naheda Subhan, both ministers stressed the deep friendship relations between countries, and keenness of countries’ leaderships to enhance and improve bilateral relationships in labor field in particular.

Isteitieh stressed that Ministry of Labor is keen that institutions and enterprises comply with provision of safe work environment for Jordanian and migrant workers alike. He added that the Ministry is ready to receive any labor remark or complaint from all labor force. In addition, the Ministry is ready to review any proposal to improve cooperation between the two friendly countries.

From his side, the Bengali Minister stressed keenness of his country to enhance fruitful cooperation with the Kingdom in all field; in particular in labor field. He valued the role of the Jordanian Ministry of Labor in protection of rights and benefits of workers of different nationalities, and its supervisory role to ensure provision of safe work environment at work sites.
