The directives of His Majesty King Abdullah II bin Al-Hussein permanently emphasize the importance of the commitment of all government departments to the rules of governance that ensure the integrity and efficiency of government systems in a manner that enhances the effectiveness of government performance and contributes to preserving public money.

In line with these royal directives, and to complement the program for developing the performance of the government apparatus for the years 2014-2016 and the executive plan to strengthen the national integrity system, this effort comes for the purpose of prepare a guide to governance practices in the public sector to be a reference for public sector employees to carry out their duties and control their administrative behavior in accordance with the laws and regulations governing work, follow up and evaluate the results of applying these practices by submitting periodic evaluation reports in this regard for the purposes of continuous improvement and development.
