Strategic Plans
Thirty-six years after the establishment of the Ministry of Labour, it is important to reconsider and examine its functioning mechanisms and advance its performance through the adoption of strategic planning as a means and a vehicle to realize the mandate assigned to the Ministry by this sector that covers all people; i.e., planning, guiding, and supervising the labour market sector for Jordanians who can work, regardless of their age, gender, colour, and religion.
The Ministry’s internal decision to adopt the strategic planning approach coincides with the government’s declared vision and strategy regarding unemployment and the challenges facing the Jordanian labour market amidst the political, economic, and social changes occurring at the international and local levels, and the associated policies and initiatives set to address this phenomenon which is deeply rooted in the Arab societies “The poverty and unemployment phenomenon and strategies for the period (2011-2020)”.
This plan has been developed using a clear methodology through the joint cooperation between all the Ministry’s directorates. The Ministry will seek to interpret and enforce this plan on the ground efficiently and effectively to attain its vision, and in line with its mission.
Out of our belief that planning is a continuous and dynamic process, development of this plan constitutes only the first step, by implementing and evaluating it continuously to keep pace with the developments seen in our society. Therefore, let our slogan be “Together” and together we can achieve the desired goals. We pray to Allah to grant us success to build this precious country under the leadership of His Majesty Abdullah II bin Al-Hussein.
