About Woman's Work Directorate

The Woman’s Work Directorate was established in the Ministry of Labor in 2006. In 2008, name of the Directorate was modified in light of the restructuring of the Ministry into a Women's Work Unit at the level of a directorate.
In appreciation of the Ministry to woman’s work and the importance of their participation in economic development, the title of the unit in the organizational structure was developed to the Woman’s Work Directorate in 2011, and within the frame of restructuring of the Ministry in 2012, the Woman’s Work Directorate became affiliated with the Assistant Secretary-General for Technical Affairs. The Woman’s Work Directorate consists of two sections:

- Economic Empowerment Department
- Awareness and Rights of Working Women Department
